Foreign Interference in Ukraine’s Agriculture Land?

In Davos 2024 we could see the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky friendly shake hands with people from Blackrock, JP Morgan Chase, ArcelorMittal, Bridgewater and Blackstone (1). Zelensky seems to be quite popular in the western globalist world where the Ukraine-Russia narrative is strictly controlled through extreme censorship (2-4).

In an earlier article I also gave Yulia Tymoshenko the opportunity to express her grievances about a new law (2021) that allowed legal entities and foreign individuals to buy Agricultural land in Ukraine (5).

When I came across a post by Laura Aboli on three huge companies that would have bought a piece of Ukraine the size of Italy, I wanted to learn more about all this. I soon discovered that this information was not true, but what is really going on when it comes to the selling of Agricultural land in Ukraine? Who are profiting from the sad war taking place in this huge country in Eastern Europe?

THE INCORRECT INFO ON CARGILL, DUPONT AND MONSANTO
When you search internet for ‘Ukraine and Agricultural land by foreign companies’ you get a lot of hits that point to a particular facebook post (7). This story about Zelensky having sold 17 million hectares of agricultural land to Monsanto, Cargill and Dupont has also resulted in many websites debunking this news, and although I am rather skeptical of fact-check websites, I think the story indeed is false (8-10).

One of these websites (10) even links to the particular Laura Aboli post (11). What makes it even more confusing is, that Laura adds a link to an article that doesn’t say anything about this claim, but instead links to an article from the Oakland Institute (12).

FREDERIC MOUSSEAU AND THE OAKLAND INSTITUTE
Although the above story very likely is a false one, the Oakland Institute did write a report that is called ‘War and Theft: the Takeover of Ukraine\s Agricultural Land‘ (13). You can download the 33 page report from their website. So, what is really going on with the Ukrainian agricultural land?

I intend to explore this item further by reading that report. For now I would like to leave you with the likely dynamics at play here, from (9), and I hope to get back with more details in future articles.

A 2021 law (5) changed how land was bought and sold in Ukraine, according to an Oakland Institute (12) article co-authored by Frederic Mousseau. The law reversed a long-standing moratorium on the transfer of private land and created a new market for landowners to sell and purchase land. Foreign companies, however, were still barred from owning land in Ukraine.

In response, Mousseau said the law “doesn’t prevent foreign agribusinesses, investment funds or banks from taking shares, interest, and some level of control in Ukrainian firms that buy or leased land.”

He said U.S. investment funds have large stakes in the largest landowners in Ukraine. Investors include funds like BlackRock and Vanguard, as well as American and European pension funds, banks and foundations.

Although the companies mentioned in the post can’t buy land directly, in 2014 Cargill did buy a 5% share in UkrLandFarming, one of the largest landholders in Ukraine with 475,000 hectares of land as of 2020, Mousseau said.

Despite the moratorium on private land transfers, more than two million hectares — or about 7,700 square miles — of land have ended up being controlled by foreign companies through leases, Mousseau said. The largest investors are companies from Cyprus, the U.S. and the Netherlands. (9)

(7) “Zelensky sold 17 million hectares of agricultural land to Monsanto, Dupont, and Cargill. Yes… you read it well… 17 million hectares to GM0/chemical companies.
This is very bad for the entire world since Ukraine is the largest exporter of wheat and other grains.

Zelensky sold 28% of the entire Ukrainian arable land. Australian National Review reports three major US cross-border consortiums have bought 17 million hectares of Ukrainian farmland. To compare: In all of Italy, there are 16.7 million hectares of agricultural land. It turns out that three American companies in Ukraine bought more valuable agricultural land than in all of Italy.
🇺🇦The entire area of Ukraine – 600,000 sqm, 170,000 sqm built.
➡️ What kind of companies are these Cargill, Dupont and Monsanto? They are officially German and Australian, but with an American head office. Their main shareholders are American Vanguard, BlackRock and Blackstone.

BlackRock $10 billion asset management funds, Vanguard $6 billion, Blackstone $881 billion. These are the companies that create the future of civilization. So apparently hunger is already written off on the planet.”
