President Trump has promised to close down the Federal Department of Education. You can hear him make this promise when he was still president-elect in the excerpt below (1).

Elon Musk also spoke about this odd phenomenon that ever since the establishment of the Federal Department of Education, back in 1979, the level of education has been going downhill (3,4). One of the few members of Congress that do not have an ‘AIPAC-buddy’ (5), Republican Thomas Massie introduced a bill to formally end the Federal Department of Education (6). He also introduced another revolutionary bill, namely to abolish the Federal Reserve (6,7).

As far as I understand the current situation, the buildings have been closed (8), and an assessment is made on what to do next. I will keep you updated on the developments in yet another of many stories unfolding after the inauguration of President Trump.
