The Greek ‘Rape of Europa’ Myth and the European Union

Some people have suggested to me to watch the documentary ‘Battle of Europa‘ which lasts for more than 10 hours (1). It sure presents an original take on World War 2 and the events that led to it. I intend to write a few articles based on elements from that documentary. Although I am always open to embrace new theories, I also remain critical to them.

This article is based on an excerpt from part 5 of the documentary and it doesn’t deal with world war 2. It presents links between a Greek myth and the possible agenda of the elite (or globalists?) in the European Union.

THE MYTH ON THE RAPE/ABDUCTION OF EUROPA
In the excerpt below you can hear about how a Phoenician princess called ‘Europa’ was seduced by Zeus, who had transformed into a white bull, to ride on his back. Zeus/the Bull then swam to Crete where he would have either raped or made love to her, leading to King Minos as one of their offspring.

It seems that depending on the source some people interpret a certain Greek word as ‘raped’ where others talk of ‘abudction’ or even ‘making love’ (2-4).

The documentary obviously chooses the rape interpretation as you can see in the just over a minute excerpt below

THE EUROPEAN UNION
The research so far on the European Union makes me think of it as a purely globalist institute that cares more about implementing their own agendas than that it cares about the Europeans. Eva Vlaardingerbroek summed it up nicely recently in a post on the leader of the pack, Ursula von der Leyen (5).

SYMBOLS OF THE MYTH IN BRUSSELS AND STRASSBOURG
Art works depicting this myth are present before the European Union Headquarters in Brussels and before the European Parliament in Strassbourg. The documentary wonders why the European Union portrays this symbol of ‘rape of Europe’ in front of their buildings.

The sculpture, entitled “The Removal of Europa,” was a gift from Crete to the European Parliament in 2005. According to Greek mythology, the Phoenician princess Europa, daughter of the king Agenor of Tyr (now Lebanon), was taken to Crete by Zeus, who was in the guise of a white bull.” (6)

SOME REFLECTIONS
Although I support the documentary’s claim that the European Union is no good for the people of Europe, since their policies are detrimental to many aspects of European life, I am not willing to believe that they actually were so blunt as to place the raping of Europa in front of their building to symbolize their aim to rape the people of Europe.

Some sources speak of the loving seduction by Zeus, others use the term rape or abduction (or even merely ‘removal’). I prefer to think that they have chosen this myth because it is about Europa, and that’s quite appropriate for an institution like the European Union.

I chose to write this article because this ‘raping of Europa‘ is an excellent metaphor for what I think the globalist policies are doing to the European citizens.
