We are confronted with an overreaching government who wants to force ‘zero-emission’ or ‘low-emission’ zones on their citizens. The rationale for these often drastic measures is that vehicles driven by regular fuels (1) are more polluting than electrical vehicles.
A recently released study (2,3) shows that this is not the case. Especially the tire-wear seems to be a real problem: “It found that brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes, which have “efficient” exhaust filters, bringing gas-powered vehicles’ emissions to new lows.“
