Cloudseeding in the United Arab Emirates

On April 17, 2024 the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates was hit by a year’s worth of rain during one day (1). This gave rise to people wondering if perhaps any cloudseeding practices could be behind this extraordinary event. The Guardian wrote a separate article on this question, reassuring us this was not the case (2).

Cloudseeding, however, is not uncommon in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (3,11). In the video below you can watch a description of how cloudseeding works in this country. The lady in the video says that the UAE performs about 1000 hours of cloudseeding every year (4). It would all be controlled from the National Center of Meteorology in the capital Abu Dhabi (5)

In earlier articles we talked a bit about geo engineering and chemtrails. Recently New Hampshire introduced a bill to prevent any geo engineering (which would include cloudseeding I presume) from happening in their state (6).
