During an interview with Joe Rogan on April 19, 2024, Tucker Carlson expressed his idea that many members of Congress are uncapable of controlling and checking the intelligency agencies, because they are very afraid of them. He added that this was not just a wild guess of him, but that he actually was told this by members of Congress, including people in the intel committee and even people who run this committee.

The people whose task it is “to oversee and keep in line these enormous secretive, whose budgets we even know. They’re black budgets. The [members of congress] are the parents and the agencies are the children. They are afraid of the agencies. That’s not compatible with democracy…whenever you have unelected people who are not accountable to anyone, making the biggest decisions. You don’t have a democracy.” (1)

He stresses that he doesn’t have evidence of them being compromised or blackmailed, but Tucker Carlson says that he does know them “and they all have things to hide, I know that for a fact. So it’s not a stretch of imagination to imagine that some committee chairman who’s allowing warrantless spying on Americans to continue or whatever abuse they are allowing, knowing fully or hiding the truth about UAP’s, or ignoring the UAP Act of 2023 (7), it’s not impossible to imagine that some guy with a drinking problem or a weird sex life, and that is very common up there. That’s why they are doing it. They don’t want to be exposed.“

Like Sharyl Attkisson (2) he casually mentions the possibility that federal agencies threaten members of Congress with putting ‘kiddy porn’ on their computer. In the same interview with Joe Rogan, Tucker also gave an example of the dirty ways of the intelligence companies by describing his interaction with Mike Pompeo’s lawyer (3). Mike Pompeo was the director of the CIA. The current CIA director, William Burns, is advising the Brazilian government on how to deal with disinformation, or how to apply censorship (4). Not that the current powers in Brazil need Burns for that. They have Alexandre de Moraes who is attempting to silence any critical voices, even when it concerns members of the Brazilian parliament (5).
