Using Weather Forecasts in Flight Traffic to reduce the effects of Contrails in Cooling or Warming the Earth

I continued watching the documentary ‘Overcast’ (1,2) and although I was playing with questions like ‘how many planes would use the Chang-patent (3)’ and ‘how would it be implemented and which metal-oxides would be used, and why isn’t everybody talking about this?’, I ran into another phenomenon that I want to share you with you here.

THE ROLE OF FLIGHT TRAFFIC CONTROL
Ulrich Schumann (4) tells us in the excerpt below that they are studying ways to minimize the ‘climate impact’ of contrails (5). He says that using higher and lower altitude flights reduce the formation of contrails.

He added: “The idea is to avoid the formation of contrails. Therefore you need to predict them, and for that reason we developed a method.

The method uses weather forecasts, general weather forecasts, and the weather forecast, is calculated for the given flight traffic, for single flights how contrails form. There are times and places on Earth where contrails cool. If you fly specifically where contrails cool you cool the Earth.

If at the same time you avoid flights where they warm then you also cool. That’s not geoengineering, since we don’t want to solve the whole climate problem with flight traffic. But with changes in flight traffic we want to reduce its climate effect.”

Ulrich Schuman describes how they research ways to influence the formation of contrails to cool the planet (1)

SOME REFLECTIONS
Ulrich Schumann from the German Airospace Center tells us that they are developing ways to lower the amount of contrails by influencing flight traffic control. By playing with lower- and higher altitude flights and by using weather forecasts that could influence the formation of contrails. Sometimes there are circumstances that contrails could actually cool the Earth.

It is in a way fascinating to see that this idea of ‘climate change’ is influencing so many people. It leads to the creation of plans and patents that suggest dumping metal-oxides in the skies at heights from 9 to 13 kms to either reflect (2) or change the frequency of the infrared radiation (3), and it leads to air traffic controllers calculating flights of airplanes to reduce the amount of contrails, for apparently he thinks that contrails cause the planet to warm up in some way.

What is your take on this? Let yourself be heard at (6).
