On May 25, 2024, Elon Musk posted a short speech by the leader of the Senate, Chuck Schumer (1,2). And he accompanied it with these words: “The goal of citizenship for all illegals is very clearly stated by the leader of the Senate. For some reason, a lot of people still think this is some crazy conspiracy theory!“

So, what is Chuck Schumer saying here in the 27 second-clip?

“Now, more than ever we are short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to. The only way we are going to have a great future here in America is when we welcome and embrace immigrants, the dreamers and all of them, ’cause our ultimate goal is to help the dreamers will get a path to citizenship for all eleven million, or however many undocumented there are here.“
