On May 28, 2024 a study was published by Roh and colleagues (1). This study used information from almost 600,000 subjects in South Korea to determine whether people are more likely to get Alzheimer Disease or the precursor Mild Cognitive Impairment when vaccinated with covid-19 vaccines compared with non-vaccinated.

The study compared the number of people developing Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or Alzheimer Disease in the three months after the vaccination. It turned out that the number of people with MCI more than doubled (2.4 times) and that there was an increase of 20% in the number of Alzheimer Disease cases when compared to the non-vaccinated group.

Roh et al. also used two control groups, namely people with vascular disease and those with Parkinson’s Disease. There was no significant relationship found in these two control groups.

OTHER STUDIES
This is not the first study that is mentioned on this website. We have paid attention to another 2024 Japanese study that linked the rise of various forms of cancer to the number of covid vaccinations (2,3).
