Sometimes it seems that there is distortion, power abuse, fraud and greed everywhere you look in our current society. It can even become rather saddening to witness all this, but despite all this I still hope that we, the people, can correct the ugly ways of those who have been benefiting from us by exposing them.
This article is about the NIH (1), the National Institutes of Health, who were allowed, since the passing of the so-called Bayh-Dole Act in 1980 (2), to collect royalties on any drug that they assisted in developing. This also holds for NIH-scientists. Listen to Robert Kennedy Jr. explain the way this works.
AN EXAMPLE
In the above video Kennedy presents an example on how six NIH-scientists, who were Anthony Fauci’s closest deputies, collect $150,000,- each year from the margin-rights of the patent of the Moderna covid mRNA vaccine.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
It is obvious that that this financial opportunity has subsumed the regulatory function of the NIH, as Robert Kennedy Jr. states. An institution that has financial gains by promoting certain drugs cannot be trusted to be impartial.
