When the Legacy Media (1) and Wokipedia (2) try to stigmatize someone as a ‘far right extremist’ you can be sure they are considered to be a threat to the globalist agenda. CAMPAIGNING MAINLY ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Calin Georgescu is remarkable in many ways. For one, he campaigned on social media (mainly TikTok (6)) completely bypassing the Legacy Media Establishment without financial backing (7). This must have been quite embarrassing for them: it goes to show once again the diminishing impact of these Legacy media.

In April 2021, Georgescu stated that “Romania’s chance lies in Russian wisdom,” referring to the tense situation in Ukraine at that time. He also claimed that Ukraine is an “invented state” and that Romania “would have gained more” if it had maintained better relations with China and Russia—arguments aligning closely with Russian propaganda themes in Romania.

After casting his ballot on Sunday, Georgescu said in a post on Facebook that he voted “For the unjust, for the humiliated, for those who feel they do not matter and actually matter the most … the vote is a prayer for the nation.”” (4)

ON OLIGARCHS, THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

SOME REFLECTIONS
The emergence of Calin Georgescu as the winner of the first round of the Romanian presidential elections must have been another Trump-like shock for the globalist elites still running Europe. Now the ‘Trumpquake’ hits from within Europe and it seems to be coming from the East: Hungary, Slovenia nd Romania. Leaders that no longer buy into the globalist anti-Russian rhetoric.

It is telling that press agency Reuters describes Georgescu as a hard-right NATO critic known for his pro-Russian and anti-NATO views (4, 10). Whenever I hear Reuters these days I can’t help but think of that awkward situation where the CEO of Reuters was also on the Board of Directors of Pfizer during the corona era (11).

On the day of the presidential elections, probably at the time that it became obvious that Georgescu would win by a landslide (16), the Constitutional Court of Romania decided to call off the elections, because of rumors of ‘Russian interference’ (17). Elon Musk also added his perspective on the situation in a tweet on December 20, 2024: “How can a judge cancel an election and not be considered a dictator?” (20).
