For many years any talk about geoengineering or chemtrails was considered the work of crazy conspiracy theorists. I wrote a number of articles in which I gathered information that geoengineering was way more than just the delusions of a few looneys. The free documentary ‘Dimming‘ by Dane Wigligton is very enlightening in this regard (1).

When I learned that the United Kingdom was about to officially embrace geoengineering as a policy, I had mixed feelings. On the one hand I don’t support geoengineering in any way, but on the other hand it can be useful to introduce and perhaps persuade geoengineering-deniers that this is a reality and not a conspiracy theory.

What follows is a general introduction to the English plans, based on sources provided by a Grok-answer that I got at the end of April 2025 (2). I will provide links and explanations to the various sources and of course to other articles on this website.

ADVANCED RESEARCH AND INVENTION AGENCY (ARIA)
First Grok introduces this government fundedf British Agency called Advanced Research an Invention Agency (ARIA) (3). It’s easy to recognize the globalist narrative of man-made climate change on their website.

In earlier articles we have spoken about some of the excesses of this fear-mongering narrative. Just think about the huge amounts of money spent on ways to ‘catch’ carbon dioxide from the air (4), the crazy Bovaer experiments on reducing the amounts of cow farts (5) and the way the European Union is slowly strangling companies by forcing them to reduce their carbon dioxide output every year (6).

STRATOSPHERIC AEROSOL INJECTION (SAI)
This fancy term stands for the release of chemicals in the sky. We have learned about how Wigligton discovered the presence of chemicals like alumiumoxide and bariumoxide in the output of certain airplanes, producing trails (1). We have seen patents describing the use of metaloxides to ‘fight’ global warming (7,8), and then there is the whole cloud seeding industry that use their own chemicals to produce rain (9).

HARMLESS CHEMICALS?
There are very strong indications that these metaloxides are and were used by these ‘global warming fighting globalists’, but they did so covertly. Some even suggest that due to the rise of aluminum on the grounds forest fires can spread faster (11).

It seems that these UK-projects would only use harmless salts, like sulfate, calcite and sea salt (2, 12). Here’s a screenshot from (12):

Even if they would experiment with the more effective metaloxides they would probably not tell us openly: that would not be a good way to promote your work and it would endanger all developments. We have seen examples in the past where the government did covert experiments on its own people. Take for instance the Cadmium and Zinc experiments from the 1950s and 1960s (13), and what was that Sulphur Dioxide Balloon experiment all about in 2023? (14).

And what is this all about?

“In one widely touted proposition, fleets of aircraft would continually inject sulphur compounds into the upper atmosphere, simulating the effects of a massive array of volcanoes erupting continuously. In essence, we have broken the climate by releasing gigatonnes of fossil-fuel carbon dioxide, and solar geoengineering proposes to “fix” it by breaking a very different part of the climate system “ (15).

Besides the question of the chemicals being used, there are also other risks that can be found on the Farmonaut website, like disrupted precipation patterns and ecological shifts (16).

THE FOSSIL FUEL SCARE
While navigating through the various articles that were provided by Grok (2), I read about a few critical scientists. Immediately I focused into them, with brave scientists (who got fired) like dr. Crockford (17) and dr. Ridd (18) in mind. I was soon disappointed when I heard about the nature of their criticism: they called it may become a “dangerous distraction” from carbon fuel reduction efforts (15).

They also talked about what they called a “Termination Shock”, namely the return of rapid warming when the geoengineering experiments would be halted.

SOME REFLECTIONS
I am truly glad that geoengineering has entered the public domain, and can now treated seriously by anyone. It seems the British plans and experiments prompted the Health Secretary of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy to talk about it more freely as well. (16) Risks and Unintended Consequences: SRM, Agriculture & Global Systems

Every climate intervention introduces the possibility of unintended consequences. Some of the primary risks the UK’s advanced research and programs are preemptively analyzing include:

• Disrupted Precipitation Patterns: SRM techniques (especially stratospheric aerosols) can shift global rainfall, threatening agricultural productivity and water security. Precipitation pattern changes geoengineering is a persistent concern for food producers and rural communities.
• Ecological Shifts: Altering temperature and sunlight can stress or benefit some organisms more than others, potentially unbalancing delicate natural ecosystems or fostering new pests and diseases.
• Moral Hazard: Heavy focus on geoengineering might delay crucial efforts to reduce fossil fuels, improve energy efficiency, and protect biodiversity. The ARIA and NERC stance is to keep geoengineering as a complement, not a substitute.
• Cross-Border and Global Risks: Atmospheric modifications in the UK may have ripple effects for weather and agricultural systems globally, reiterating the need for international standards, open data, and robust impact assessment.

By layering these concerns with the benefits of rapid cooling or carbon sequestration, ARIA researchers seek a balanced pathway that foregrounds safety, transparency, and public trust.
