The Orwellian mindset of the European Union is showing itself more clearly, as time moves on. The European Union is so afraid that their citizens might see through their propaganda efforts, that they now can also prosecute private citizens for sharing content from Russian news agencies.
Once upon a time Europe was considered a place where freedom of speech was considered a undeniable right. This principle doesn’t seem to carry as much weight as it used to.
On July 2, 2026 the European Court of Justice ruled that even the sharing of ‘forbidden Russian content’ can be considered illegal, and it can therefore potentially lead to fines or imprisonment (1,2).
For me, as a European, it is truly incredible to be living in a Europe where censorship has become this extreme. If these nasty developments continue there will come a time when only the opinion of the government is allowed to be shared.
OVERVIEW OF RELATED ARTICLES
We have spoken about European censorship before in earlier articles. You may remember how the EU tried to make a secret censorship deal with X (3). I wrote about how the EU added more Russian news outlets to their censorship campaign (4).
This ruling by the European Court of Justice was triggered by Germany which is the forefront when it comes to curtailing the rights of their citizens. Alina Lipp was targeted because she dared to show the way the people in the Donbass were killed and targeted by the Kiev government (5). The German magazine ‘Compact‘ was also forbidden by the enemies of free speech (6)
Perhaps the next step of the EU will be to forbid certain people from spreading their perspective. You can find a list of possible EU targets at (6).
At (7) you can take a look at the possible real reasons why RT is so feared by the EU establishment.
SOME REFLECTIONS
During these draconian censorship times we would be unable to verify anything related to the war in Ukraine (9). Remember how we were told that the Russians blew up the Nord Stream pipelines themselves? Telegram owner Pavel Durov has claimed that Russians enjoy more freedom on his platform that users in the European Union (10).
The European Union also actively uses propaganda to further her globalist agenda through universities (11), and they consider using something like ‘prebunking’ (12).
