Maternal Mortality in US went up in 2021 and 2022 but is now only slightly higher than 2019

Although it can sometimes be tempting to use videos with alarming messages related to the covid-vaccine, it can also be useful to do some checking yourself, to discover that things turned better afterwards.

In the video below you can hear dr. Peter McCullough say the following: “We now have record maternal mortality – starting in 2021, It’s going up, it’s erased four decades of progress in obstetrics. pregnant women are dying with the baby in the womb.” (1)

This was indeed the case, but this video was probably recorded somewhere in 2022, and dr. McCullough seems to have expected a trend because of the effects of the vaccines. As far as the maternal mortality in the US is concerned that, luckily, didn’t happen. In the diagram on the left (2) you can see that things got better, even though the rate in 2023 (20.3) is still slightly higher than it was in 2019 (17.3) (3)

Dr. McCullough is not the first doctor to have appeared in this Gondolath theater. A while ago we talked about how Dr. Scott Jensen had noticed how many covid-related scientific articles were either deleted or retracted (4).
