How Nasdaq Forces Diversity Rules on the Board of Directors of Companies

Today I continued watching the 2024 documentary ‘War on Children‘(1). We have been discussing a few elements of this documentary before. You might remember the story on Mary Calderone (2) and the article ‘How the Media try to Normalize the Woke Sex-Change Agenda‘ (3). The directors, Robby and Landon Starbuck, are trying to discover the origin of the woke-mind and during a talk with Justin Danhof (4) they hear all kinds of methods that were and are being applied to foster wokeness in the United States.

THE NASDAQ BOARD DIVERSITY RULES
I was sure surprised to hear that in order for companies to remain in the Nasdaq-index, they needed to have at least one woman and one representative of a minority group in their board of directors. All companies need to fill in the form that you see on the left, the ‘Board Diversity Matrix‘ (stating the number of men, women and ‘non-binaries’ in their own board of directors (5)).

On December 31, 2023 all companies had to fill in this Board Diversity Matrix and it would have repercussions if you didn’t make sure to have this ‘diverse’ composition (6). In a document from the Nasdaq-site (7) you can read a kind of time table:

I had to blink my eyes a couple of times when I learned about these rules, forcing companies to adapt to the woke-diversity agenda or otherwise they would face the penalty of being removed from the Nasdaq-index.
